EPS Composite Foam Cores


Dyplast manufactures high-quality expanded polystyrene (EPS) rigid foam cores that incorporate excellent thermal insulation qualities. Dyplast EPS is a closed cell, strong, light-weight, resilient rigid foam providing a host of unique properties. No other product within this cost structure provides the thermal efficiency, temperature range, damage and moisture control, flammability rating, or moisture vapor permeability characteristics. Our product's excellent workability characteristics make it easy to handle, shape, and install. A wide range of core thickness and densities is available. The high-quality rigid foam is free of voids and cavities. Available in panels, blocks, tapered sheets, special cut/custom shapes, and/or with routed edges, Dyplast EPS excels in an array of composite substrate applications. With its high R-values, Dyplast EPS adds an insulation dimension over composite materials such as wood, metal, fiber/resin, carbon, etc. With available compressive strengths from 10 to 35 lb/in², the vast majority of composite applications can be accommodated.


Where high strength-to-weight ratios, structural integrity, thermal insulation benefit, and resistance to moisture, rot, and insects are primary design considerations, Dyplast EPS is a dominant composite foam core substrate. EPS is not susceptible to thermal aging, so its R-value of up to 4.35/in does not deteriorate over time. Applications include sheets, panels, blocks, or special cuts or shapes for walls, floors, roofs, ramps, bulkheads, and/or structural members etc. for:

Concerned about the environment? So is Dyplast! That's why Dyplast EPS does not contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's) or hydro-chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC's). EPS rigid foam insulation is an inert, organic material produced from petroleum and natural gas by-products. It provides no nutritive value to plants, animals or micro-organisms. It will not rot, is highly resistant to mildew, and is recyclable.
